ATLAS.ti is one of the most powerful tools for
qualitative research today. The software package facilitates the management and analysis of qualitative data, including text and multimedia. An explanation of the features and a downloadable trial version of the software can be found on http://atlasti.com.
Most popular are the intensive 1, 2 and 3 day introductory, intermediate and advanced user workshops. These can be tailor-made to include a variety of special topics, the most popular modules being the improvement of coding systems; survey research in ATLAS.ti; specialised applications of analysis tools; working with video, audio and geo-data; uses of ATLAS.ti in interaction with other programs; and sessions that advice on the set-up and approaches towards coding and analysis of participants’ specific research projects.
About the instructor
I am a certified ATLAS.ti professional trainer senior level and a registered consultant at ATLAS.ti, with over a decade of experience in teaching the program throughout Europe, Latin America and Africa. I offer a variety of forms of instruction, with or without the use of participants’ own data. Generally, I work in English, but training sessions in Dutch, German, Swahili and Spanish can be made available upon request.
As a professional academic researcher, I have many years of experience in undertaking and supervising research projects in different disciplines. In my courses, I aim to provide users not only with the skills to operate ATLAS.ti efficiently, but also with the methodological background and specialised advise to successfully complete their project using the program.
